What is ceramic coating?
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds with your vehicle's factory paint, creating a durable layer of protection. Unlike wax, which sits on top of the paint and washes away, ceramic coating becomes part of the surface.
What does ceramic coating protect against?
It protects against UV damage, oxidation, bird droppings, tree sap, road salt, light scratches and chemical stains. It also makes washing much easier because dirt has trouble sticking to the slick surface.
How long does it last?
Entry-level coatings last around one to two years, while professional-grade coatings can last five to nine years with proper maintenance. The lifespan depends on how the car is used, stored and washed.
Is paint correction required first?
For the best result, yes. Ceramic coating locks in the current condition of the paint. If the paint has swirl marks or defects, they will be sealed underneath. We recommend at least a single-stage paint enhancement before coating.
Can I apply ceramic coating myself?
Consumer kits exist, but professional application gives a deeper finish, better durability and warranty-backed protection. Preparation is the most important step, and professional decontamination and correction make a major difference.
